Hello everybody,
Here is our new Ardeo logo. The original idea came from a paperclip that I was playing with. It was a bit of a lightbulb moment.
Even more so because our software has been responsible for collating notes and workflow for a long time.
What do you think?

Here is the technical description for completeness.
Trademark Description: Ardeo “Paperclip-A” Logo
Mark Type: Figurative
Mark Description (Expanded):
The mark consists of a stylised, geometric capital letter “A”, constructed using a continuous single-line design that forms a rounded triangular outline with an open base on the lower right edge. Within this triangle, a parallel curved element resembling a paperclip is embedded or superimposed, following the contour of the left leg of the triangle. The design appears as a unified, modern glyph conveying both a letterform and an everyday object.
Protection Scope Clauses:
- Colour Protection:
- The mark is claimed in all colours and combinations of colours, including monochrome (black, white, greyscale), duotone, gradient fills, and colour inversions.
- The mark may appear in flat, solid, or gradient fills, or against coloured, dark, light, or transparent backgrounds.
- Form and Style Variants:
- The mark may be rendered as a line drawing, filled shape, negative space cut-out, embossed or engraved variant, or rasterised form.
- The logo may be displayed with or without surrounding shapes (e.g., within circles, squares, or with shadows or outlines), provided the fundamental geometry remains intact.
- Orientation and Perspective:
- The mark may be rotated, mirrored (horizontally or vertically), resized, or adjusted proportionally for use in favicons, icons, app badges, or responsive web design.
- These transformations are protected as long as the characteristic triangular and paperclip structure is preserved and visually recognisable.
- Usage Formats:
- The mark may be used in static or animated digital contexts, printed on physical materials (paper, textile, plastic, metal), or displayed via light projection, laser etching, or screen display.
- Negative Space Rendering:
- Protection is also claimed for uses where the paperclip element is defined by negative space within the triangle or vice versa.
